UTM Link Generator

Track campaigns by seeing exactly where traffic comes from.

Build a tagged link so your analytics can tell you which post sent the traffic. Without UTM parameters, every click from every network lands in one undifferentiated “social” bucket, and you cannot tell the post that worked from the one that did not.

How to use the UTM Link Generator

  1. Paste the destination URL.
  2. Set the source (the network), the medium (usually “social”) and the campaign name.
  3. Add content or term if you are A/B testing two versions of the same post.
  4. Copy the finished link and use it in the post.

Frequently asked questions

Are UTM parameters case-sensitive?

Yes. Facebook and FaceBook become two separate rows in your reports. Pick lowercase and stay with it.

Do the tags slow down or break the page?

No. They are query parameters the page ignores; only analytics reads them. Canonical tags keep the tagged URL from being indexed separately.

Which are required?

Source and medium — analytics tools need both to attribute the visit. Campaign is strongly recommended; content and term are optional.

Can I shorten the tagged link?

Yes. A shortener preserves the parameters through the redirect, so attribution still works and the post looks cleaner.
