Format captions with clean line breaks and spacing.
Instagram strips ordinary line breaks out of captions, collapsing a carefully spaced caption into one grey wall of text. This tool inserts characters that survive the paste, so the spacing you write is the spacing your followers actually see.
The composer trims whitespace-only lines when it saves the caption, so blank lines vanish and paragraphs run together. Inserting an invisible character on those lines stops them being counted as empty.
Usually — but editing a caption in the app can re-trim it. If spacing collapses after an edit, paste the formatted version again rather than fixing it by hand.

Comments generally yes. Story text uses a different editor and keeps your line breaks already, so it does not need this.
